Through the generosity of Microsoft and Lynchburg College, the 51 Office 97/98/2000/XP-2002/2003 and 2007 tutorials, contained on this website, are available, at no cost, to anyone who desires to download them. While the tutorials are Copyrighted, you may download, print and share them.  If you have questions on this, please e-mail the address below.  Since this site was created, there have been a number of inquiries about linking to this site.  It would be an honor to have anyone link to this site who desires to do so.

The tutorials are written at a 3rd to 4th grade level and are used by K-12 school systems, higher education institutions, home schoolers, charities, senior centers, out-of-work centers and businesses for Microsoft Office training. If you desire to know more about their use, please contact the e-mail address below.  Click on Table of Contents to see a one page summary of all the tutorials.

2007 Office Tutorials (and Videos) are available!  See top link on left.

Please click-on this link to view and download new Tutorials and Help Documents from many colleges and universities.

These Office tutorials are offered in the same format as the tutorials available on the Microsoft Education Website (http://www.microsoft.com/education/) - as Microsoft Word documents (any version).

For those who desire a printed copy of a tutorial, you may click-on the appropriate link in the individual tutorial page.  The tutorial you select will open in Microsoft Word.  You may then print the tutorial from Word.   When you click-on the link you may also save the tutorial to a drive of your choice.  It will save as a Word file.  You may copy and print these tutorials in any manner you desire.

If you find that you are unable to download a tutorial, and desire a copy, we'll be glad to e-mail you that tutorial (at no charge) as an e-mail attachment.  For those who have difficulty downloading the tutorials, and would like all 51 files, we will mail you a CD with all of the tutorials, a Table of Contents for the CD, and an instructional letter - also at no charge.  Simply e-mail the address below, and we will respond to your request.

If you have any questions, or would like a CD with all of the tutorials mailed to you, simply send an e-mail to:

murray.t@lynchburg.edu

Please note:  You will notice that there are no Microsoft Word tutorials included in the tutorials.  We have found that Microsoft Press offers excellent introductory texts at very reasonable prices for Microsoft Word.  Microsoft Press Quick Course in Microsoft Word 97 and 2000, Microsoft Press Plain & Simple for Word XP/2002, and Microsoft Press Microsoft Office Word 2003 - Step by Step are available on line, and in many bookstores.  We suggest that you try one of these books for an easy to understand reference and learning guide.  Again, if you have any questions about these texts, you may contact the above e-mail address about them.

The author of the tutorials is most appreciative for the wonderful support received from Greg Butler, Janie Schwark, Janet Steele,  Fred Altimont, Brian Bratonia and Zanoon Nissar at Microsoft, the Virginia Foundation for Independent Colleges (VFIC), and the Council for Independent Colleges in Virginia (CICV).

The "equipment" on which the tutorials are created and maintained has been provided through the generosity of Champe Burnley and Martha Janney at Dell Computing, Keith Ellis at Motion Computing, and Greg Butler at Microsoft.

A special thank you to the members of ASCUE (Association of Small Computer Users in Education) for their support, contributions and making the tutorials available "all over the world."
